I am Julie Hill and I feel very privileged to be the Acting Executive Head Teacher of St Mary’s. We are a small school community where all staff know all of the pupils and we work very closely together. Ofsted 2016 call us “warm and caring”, we provide a “good quality of education”, they state that our children “look forward to the varied & rich topics that the curriculum provides”, and that “it was also noticeable how kind and caring pupils are to one another”.
As a new member of the school family I have noticed that the staff are very compassionate, and they show great understanding and empathy towards all of our children. Everyone who enters the building, receive a very warm welcome from Mrs Hudson in the office.
I hope that you find our website useful. You may like to find out about all the interesting and exciting events happening in our school, and the best way to do this is through our newsletters, diary and items such as the school brochure and various policies. Also included are photographs of some of the enjoyable activities which happen here.
St Mary’s RCVA Primary School is a caring and safe place to be, where we all follow Christ’s message to respect, love and care for each other. We strive hard to develop every child’s potential and talent by providing a wide range of academic and extra-curricular opportunities.
We are a Rights Respecting school, where children are taught about their rights and how to respect those rights.

The success of the school is reflected in the dedicated work of everyone connected with us – the children, staff, parents and governors, as well as our local parish community.
