Rights Respecting School

Rights Respecting School Award – RRSA

As a level 2 Rights Respecting School, we aim to provide a happy, friendly and caring atmosphere within our school, where all children are valued and respected.

We achieved the Level 2 UNICEF Rights Respecting Award in September 2015 and we were awarded Gold Level in February 2019.  We are very proud of this achievement, but even more proud of how much our children respect each other & the rights of all people no matter who they are or where they come from.

Each week we hold family group sessions, where the children learn about the rights of the child through fun and enjoyable activities. During these sessions we not only learn about the rights of children, but we also get to have our voices listened to through campaign activities.

Each class created their own class charter, which we use to respect one another’s rights in school. Here are some of our class charters:
